25% of sales from our Beginner's and Upwards trip starting 26th May 2025 will be donated to Surfers Against Sewage through Work For Good
Many of our fondest memories involve spending time on or in the ocean.  It brings us freedom and peace, among many other things.  SAS do an amazing job of fighting for the health of the ocean and all that it is connected with.  We are excited to announce that we will be donating a percentage of our sales from this particular trip.

Surfers Against Sewage Fund Raiser

Beginners and Upwards trip - 5 days £530

26th May - 6 places left

You can experience the incredible sights of the Isles of Scilly, learn to kayak or improve the skills you already have, and feel good knowing you are supporting the ocean at the same time!

These magical islands, off the south west coast of Cornwall, are a fantastic place to kayak.  Not to mention the sense of peace that washes over you as you step onto St Martin's quay.  We have now added an extra night's camping which gives you an added day off, enabling you to make the most of your time in this outstanding place, and explore the islands on foot too.

This trip is for beginners and upwards.  So if you are a seasoned kayaker you are also welcome to join us and just note that we will be starting with the basics, which could also be a nice reminder for you.  It includes kayaking on 4 days and a day off to enjoy the islands.  Plus 5 nights of camping.

We keep our group size is a maximum of 6 because it makes for a more personal experience. Meet some like minded people, and even make lifelong friends as you chat over a drink in the pub that boasts the best view in Britain!

Our qualified and very experienced guides work under the professional body of Paddle UK, they create a relaxed and fun environment in which to learn and improve.  You can either just enjoy being guided around these beautiful islands or make the most of their knowledge and develop your kayaking skills at the same time.

We will be based at St Martin’s campsite.  We aim to do plenty of sea kayaking with trips to as many of the islands as we can get to!  Different trips each day.  Enjoying the wildlife and breath-taking scenery that this unique location has to offer.

Our prices include camping for 5 nights.  Plus your tuition/guiding fee and kayaking kit (closed cock-pit sea kayak , spray deck, paddle, buoyancy aid, cag, helmet and long john wetsuit).  Your guide will carry all the safety kit necessary for your trips.

25% of sales from this trip will be donated to Surfers Against Sewage.  Surfers Against Sewage is a grassroots environmental charity that campaigns to protect the ocean and all it makes possible. It was created in 1990 by a group of Cornish surfers, fighting to clean up the sea that was making them sick. Now, Surfers Against Sewage campaigns on all that threatens the ocean - plastic pollution, the climate emergency, industrial exploitation and water quality – by taking action on the ground that triggers change from the top.

Make sure you book your ferry home for the day after your trip ends otherwise you will miss your last day of kayaking/exploring on foot.  The extra day gives us the luxury of picking the best days for kayaking based on the weather and gives you the opportunity to explore what else the islands have to offer.  For example the famous Abbey Gardens, St Martins vineyard or snorkelling with seals.

If you have a group of 6 then we can create a bespoke trip for you.  For example we can include 5 days of kayaking or offer you a date that is not being advertised.  Contact us to discuss your needs.

Other costs to be booked and paid for separately by you:

  •  Ferry approx. £160 (see www.islesofscilly-travel.co.uk)
